Workshop Aims:
- to discuss different attitudes towards lesson and course planning and current practice
- to examine the advantages and disadvantages of planning lessons and courses
- to discuss various principles of planning
- to explore the possible elements of a lesson plan
- to examine how best to write lesson aims and the importance of these
- to create a ‘Lesson Planning Checklist’ for participants to take away with them
- to practice writing a lesson plan.
About The Event: The English Language Teaching workshop on 'Lesson Planning' for primary and secondary level school teachers aims to equip teachers with effective methods, resources, practical ideas and activities that they can implement in their own classroom situations, and to direct them towards materials available to them in the local British Council Library. The workshops have been developed and certified by the British Council.
