A Sad Girl

She sat still,
on the top of the hill
Her sad sighs,
her sorrowful cries..
 Her smile faded,
by the passing time
She felt bad,
for what she had done.
She wanted a place to hide,
and a true friend by her side.
She had no one,
who cared for her.
And someone,
who listened to her.
She thought that,
people will forgive her,
And forget,
her crime.

Love Between A Grand Daughter and A Grand Mother

Nancy is a little girl . She always wanted to see her grand mother . Sometimes she felt very upset . When Nancy was an infant , her grandma died and she she heard this now , when she's of 8 . Her feelings amongst her grandma were very emotional but she was having a very strong will power also . Her grandma was a very famous and a great dancer , thus , a very kind person . Nancy always tried to be like her grandma . She started practicing dance and behaved nicely with others . In teenage , she made a huge group including her friends for dance activities . They took part in dance competitions and became the most famous dance group of India . One day at a dance competition , Nancy's team copied all the steps of their opponents .

They became cheaters in front of people's eyes , but , they didn't give up . They started practicing more harder and went to the competition , going to be held in Suncity , South Africa . They went there and had a great fun , afterwards they went to their suites . They all slept cause of tiredness . Next day they went to the practice room and started preparing steps for their dance . After 2 days , the day  came , the day of Auditions but they qualified the round .

Then there wrer three rounds more , no.1 – Qualification round , no.2- Grand Finale , no.3 and the finalist , you know , its Finale !!! There was time in the next round . At the time of practice , next round's front dancer ..... Nancy's best friend Tina fell down . Nancy went in tension , she took Tina to a hospital , Tina's injury was not very serious . Tina didn't left her will . She danced in the qualification round . Like they passed the Grand Finale also . Now the times' for finale .

The next group in Finale was our Indian team . They went nervously on the stage and danced very hopefully but at the moment they were doing their last and the most impressive step , Nancy's friend Syra left her balance and whole step spoiled but Syra said that she want to do it again .... instead of spoiling their self respect its better to dance and gain something . One by one  whole team joined Syra and did the move again. They did not get a chance to win the championship and they get a lot of respect . Atlast , Nancy became like her Grandma .

Ramu’s Greedy Son

once there lived a poor farmer in a village named ramu . His father left him with a small piece of land . He always worked very hard to till the land . But no crops grew out of it. One day , in a hot afternoon , he was sitting in the shade of a mango tree . just then , a mustard and black stripped snake came out of a hole . He was about to kill that snake , suddenly , he noticed the mark on its hood and thought “oh ! This snake seems to be a divine snake . Maybe this farmland will be cropped if I worship snake god .”

He immediately rushed to the home and came back with a bowl of milk .He kept the bowl in front of the snake and shook his head before it .Next morning, he again went to that place to collect the empty bowl . He was surprised to see the gold coin inside the bowl .He shook his head before the snake and said “thank you god for blessing me this way.” He again kept a milk-filled bowl near the hole and next morning he again found a gold coin inside the bowl .This happened everyday and soon he became very rich .He bought a new house, clothes and jewelries. Many servants worked for him .But he never forgot to keep a milk-filled bowl near the hole. After two – three years, he had to left the village to visit a relative.

He called his son named haridutta and said “son every night, you have to keep a milk-filled bowl near the hole in our farmland. And whatever you found in that empty bowl you have to keep it safely till I return.” Yes father, I will do as you say.” The obedient son replied. Ramu left the village. His son did the same as he said. Next morning, he visit that place to collect the empty bowl and he found a gold coin inside. He muttered himself that “this is the secret of my father sudden wealth.”

He kept the coin safely. He again does the same. He again found a gold coin. He thought “this snake is must be having some treasure inside. I will dig it out.” He picked up stout stick and tried to kill the snake. The snake ran away. He tried to make the hole broader to take out the treasure. The snake came back and bit him at many places. He cried out for the help. Some farmers heard his cries but at the time they reach, his body was turned blue. He took his last breath and then, died. When his father returned, he was shocked because of two things. First his son died and the source of his daily gold coins the divine snake never came back.

“Child’s Right to Education

Professor:   Their hardships, their struggle. No, I will not sentimentalize this. I will be different. Let me have three-four children working as cobbler, tea-stall vendor, and laborer in a factory. Suppose they come and sleep in the same place at the end of the day. Let me try to imagine what they must be talking about…it’s difficult when both the partners work. Who will look after the house? Moreover, who will look after our two-year old daughter? This girl was working in our house for so long. Suddenly her parents took her away. Someone else was offering them more. Even we were paying her around Rs.500/- every month. And all the food she guzzled on. These people are so selfish. They are so ungrateful. My elder daughter comes back from school at three o’clock when none of us are at home. At least this girl used to give her food and play with her until we got back home from work. Now, I have to look for another girl. My wife doesn’t want a grown up woman. She feels the house isn’t safe because they bring in all kinds of people when we are not home…I have got to finish the script today itself. We will rehearse over next two days. Idea! What about having this little boy sell channa outside the school gate during Tiffin hours? He must be wondering how these kids earn their livelihood when they spend almost the whole day in school…Let me have some coffee. I will ask mali to get me some. Ramu, Ramu…

Ramu:  Aaya, babu.

Professor: Ramu, get me some coffee.

Ramu: Ji, babu.

Professor: Arre, Ramu, you have a daughter. How old is she?

Ramu: Babu, she is just eight. She is going to school. Kyun babu?

Professor: School! What’s she going to school for? Bring her here. You know the girl who was working in my house left. I need somebody to look after my two year old daughter. Moreover, your daughter can play with my elder one when she comes back from school. She will get good food. She can sleep in the kitchen.

Ramu: Lekin babu?

Professor: Now, don’t irritate me. Bring your daughter tomorrow. Get me some coffee.

Ramu: Ji, babu.

Professor It will surely  appeal if I can capture the thoughts of this little kid selling channa outside the school-gate. He must also be longing to go to school and see what happens inside those rooms.

Hastinapur

Hastinapur (Hindi: हस्‍तिनापुर, Sanskrit: हस्‍तिनापुरम् Hastināpuram) is a town and a nagar panchayat in Meerut district in the Indianstate of Uttar Pradesh.

History

Hastinapur was the capital of the Kuru dynasty of kings. All incidents in the epic Mahabharatahave taken place in the city of Hastinapur. The birth of the Mahabharata villains, the 100 Kauravas, happened here, by their mother, Queen Gandhari, wife of King Dhritarashtra.

The first reference to Hastinapur in Puranas comes as the capital of Emperor Bharata. SamratSamprati, the grandson of the emperor Asoka, built many temples here during his empire. The ancient temple and stupas are not present today. Excavation at Hastinapur was carried out in the early 1950s by B.B. Lal, Director General of the Archaeological Survey of India. Although the main aim of this excavation, mentioned by Lal himself, was to find out the stratigraphic position ofPainted Grey Ware with reference to other known ceramic industries of the early historical period, Lal also ended up making correlations between the text of the Mahabharata and the material remains that he uncovered at Hastinapur. This exercise led him to historicize some of the traditions mentioned in the text, as well as link the appearance of the Painted Grey Ware with the arrival of the Aryans in upperGanges basin areas. Though Pre history of Hastinapur is not clear as full scale excavation could not be undertaken in inhabited area. In the medieval era, Hastinapur was attacked by Mughal ruler Babur when invading Hindustan. During British India, Hastinapur was ruled by the Gujjar Raja Nain Singh Nagar. He built many temples in and around Hastinapur.
Places of interest.

Located on the banks of old ravine of Ganges, Hastinapur is considered one of the holiest place on earth by Jains. It is believed to be the birthplace of three Jain Tirthankaras. There are many ancient Jain temples in Hastinapur. Shri Digamber Jain Mandir, Jambudweep, Kailash Parvat, Shwetambar Jain Temple are the main and famous temples in Hastinapur. Apart from Jain temples, Pandeshwar temple, Historical Gurdwara and Hastinapur Sanctuary are worth being seen.

Temples and Monuments

Located in the ruins of the old city of Hastinapur, Old Pandeshwar Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. A statue of Goddess Kali and many Hindu Ashrams are also present on hillock of ruins. Karna temple situated nearby lies on the bank of old ravine of Ganges. The Shivlinginside Karna temple is said to be established by Karna, one of the central figure in the epic of Mahabharata.
Bhai Dharam Singh Gurdwara.

It is a small Gurdwara located in a village Saifpur, some 2.5 km (1.6 mi) away from Hastinapur. Bhai Dharam Singh (1666–1708) was one of the Panj Pyare (Punjabi: ਪੰਜ ਪਿਆਰੇ) or the Five Beloved, the forerunners of Khalsa. He was the son of Bhai Sant Ram of the village Saifpur.

MOTHER'S ROSES

A red rose
A white rose
A red rose
A white rose
A red rose
A white rose
That's all!

GOD

God is very great and strong
He listens to us all day long
And teaches us to do what's right
But nobody knows what He does at night.

PAPA

Papa also is strong and tall
And when I hear his step in the hall
I hide in the curtain - I know what he'll say!
'Where is my little Miss Mousie today?'
Then I come prancing out just like a mouse
And he takes me and hugs me all over the house
I give him six kisses, or seven, or ten
And tell him I'm going to marry him When.

THE PARK

The park is very great and green
And full of many things unseen
Swings that come swinging and knock off your head
Germs in the fountain that kill you quite dead
And lots of wild children who like to throw sand
And sometimes there's even a musical band!

THE WEDDING DOLL

The Wedding Doll is very grand
She has her own white wedding stand
And stands very straight in the dining hall
In her dress and her veil and her gloves and all.
But though she's been standing there summer and fall
The bridegroom seems never to turn up at all
And sometimes I wonder - What sort of life?
Always the wedding but never the wife.

MY BEST FRIEND'S MOTHER

My best friend's mother is very strict
And when I come over to play
I know she's going to send us out
On even the coldest day.
She never once gave us cookies or cake
She says that it makes such a mess
And she had a fit when my friend spilled coke
All over her second-best dress.
My friend's not allowed to wear jewelry or lace
Her mother says it's not proper,
The time we wore lipstick and powdered our face
She screamed and nobody could stop 'er.
If she were my mother I'd run away fast
I'd sail away over the water,
From China I'd send her a postcard at last -
'With love, from your runaway daughter!'

NOT ME

I wouldn't like to be a nun
They never seem to have much fun
But always go to church or school
And wear black dresses as a rule.

MY CRAZY MORNING

When my clock struck six,
It whirred and danced
For my head to fix,
The sunshine glanced.

I opened my eyes,
I was very - very sleepy
Oh I said seeing the skies,
The morning is so creepy.

I headed to the bathroom,
To brush first
But I think I can’t reach my classroom,
As the tube burst.
I wanted a bath,
But on the watery path
As I tripped,
Till the door I slipped.

To eat my food,
I was nearly in a dead mood
But when my mother wanted me to be fed,
I broke my head.

When I reached the school gate,
I was nearly late
It was not a jolly day,
When I reached the class it was a holiday.

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL HEART

One day a young man was standing in the middle of the town proclaiming that he he had the most beautiful heart in the whole valley.

A large crowd gathered and they all admired his heart for it was perfect. There was not a mark or a flaw in it. Yes, they all agreed it truly was the most beautiful heart they had ever seen.

The young man was was very proud and boasted more loudly about his beautiful heart.

Suddenly, an old man appeared appeared in front of the crowd and said,"Why is your heart not nearly as beautiful as mine?"
The crowd and the young man looked at the old man's heart. It was beating strongly...but full of scars. It had places where pieces had been removed and other pieces put in...but they didn't fit quite right and there were several jagged edges.
In fact, in some places there were deep gouges where whole pieces were missing . The people wondered..how could he say his heart is more beautiful, they thought.

The young man looked at the old man's heart and saw its state and laughed.

"You must be joking,"he said. "Compare your heart with mine...mine is perfect and yours is a mess of scars and tears."

"Yes,"said the old man," Yours is perfect looking...but I would never trade with you. You see, every scar represents a person to whom I have given my love....I tear out a piece out a piece of my heart and give it to them...and often they give me a piece of their heart which fits into the empty place in my heart...but the pieces aren't exact, I have some rough edges, which I cherish, because they remind me of the love we shared.

Sometimes I have given pieces of my heart away...and the other person hasn't returned a piece of his  heart heart to me. These are the empty gouges...giving love is taking a chance. Although these gouges are painful, they stay open, reminding me of the love I have for these people too...and I hope someday they may return and fill the space I have been waiting. So now do you see what true beauty is?"

The young man stood silently with tears running down his cheeks. He walked up to the old man, reached into his perfect young and beautiful heart and ripped a piece out. He offered it to the old man with trembling hands.

The old man took his offering, placed it in his heartand heart and then took a piece of from his old scarred heart and placed it in the wound in the young man's heart. It fitted but not perfectly, as there were some jagged edges.

The young man looked at his heart, not perfect anymore but more beautiful than ever, since love from the old man's heart flowed into his. They embraced and walked away side by side.

INTELLIGENT DAUGHTER

Once upon a time in a small village, there was no sign of the rain in that village .Al the crops were destroying and the condition was getting worst by each passing day .In this  all, a farmer borrowed huge sum of  money from the big family to improve his agriculture but the nature could not turn up in his way and at lost all the money that he owed. Now he was in  huge debt and he had nothing to give to the money lender .

The farmer had a beautiful daughter and the moneylender who was ugly ,and he wanted to marry farmer’s daughter. Farmer had nothing but to accept his proposal. The moneylender told that he would put two pebble------one black and white in a bag . And the girl had to pick one from them .If she picked the black pebble then she had to marry him and her father’s debt would be forgiven and if she picked the white pebble, then she need not to marry and still the debt would be forgiven . But if she refused to pick any, her father would be thrown inside the bars. As per decision the moneylender bend to pick two pebbles, the sharp eyed girl noticed that he had picked  two black pebble . There was no white pebble in the bag . The girl had an idea , she picked a pebble and dropped it on the road .
She cunningly said if you look into the bag for the left pebble then you will be able to decide which she picked. Since the left one in the bag was black pebble, then obviously she picked the white pebble and the moneylender had to forgive the debt. Also he  could  not tell the truth because it would reflect his dishonesty . In this way all debt of farmer was forgiven.

So we can say that it is not how intelligent you are , but you have to think different in different  situation

MOTHERS

For me everyday is a special day,
& everyday I want to wish my mother,
''Happy Mother`s Day''

Mothers are like marvelous creatures,
God has given her some brilliant features.

She is like a helping angel,
She is like a help in danger.

She is our only idol,
She is also our role model.

And being a child,
I can say with pride.

Since we are growing in our mother`s shade,
No one can make us afraid.

The Curious Monkey

One day a carpenter was sawing a large log to divide it into two parts. A monkey sitting in a tree was watching him. The carpenter stopped his work at lunch time. Only half of portion of the log was cut by then. So he pushed a wedge into the split and then went for lunch.

After the carpenter had gone, the monkey jumped down from the tree. He went round the log and observed it for some time. He stopped at the wedge and looked at it curiously. His curiosity mounted. So he sat down on the log keeping it between his two legs. His long tail was dangling down through the wide split. He handled the wedge out of curiosity. Suddenly he pulled out the wedge. As soon as the wedge was removed, the split parts of the log stuck together with a snap and caught the monkey’s tail.

The monkey gave out a loud cry with pain and jumped off. His tail was gone for ever.

POEM

When I ask my Mum:"What's for tea?"
She smiles and says,"Wait and see!"

When I ask my Dad what good things he's done,
He smiles and says,"In a minute, son."

When I ask my grandmother if I can watch television,
"I'll think about it, "she says to me.
When I ask my grandfather about good old days,
"Now you are asking," he smiles and says.

If I answer the question my teacher ask me,
With "In a minute"or " Wait and see"
I know just what the result would be!
